Chantal Brügger is a dance artist, teacher and sports scientist based in Switzerland. She holds a Master of Science in Exercise and Health Science from the Universität Basel, a Bachelor of Arts in Urban and Contemporary Dance from the University of West London, and is a certified stage dancer (HF ZUB, Zurich). She works as a lecturer in dance and movement at the University of Basel and teaches in professional dance teacher training programmes. Alongside her educational work, she is active as a freelance performer and a member of TeKi TeKua Compagnie (Zurich/Biel) and MIR Compagnie (Basel).
Her experience spans contemporary, urban, theatre and commercial contexts. She has collaborated with different institutions such as Tanzhaus Zürich, Opernhaus Zürich and Tanzhaus Basel, and worked with choreographers including Jochen Heckmann, Victor Rottier, Paula Lansley, Corneliu Ganea, Rafael Smadja and Luca Signoretti.
In addition to her dance and teaching practice, Chantal works independently as a sports scientist, personal coach and yoga teacher. She has experience in fitness centres and in physiotherapy and osteopathy settings, offering individual assessments and structured training plans for performance, injury prevention and return-to-sport support.
