Charo Ares received her training in urban dance at the Flow Dance Academy in Paris and subsequently specialized in folkloric, commercial and Cuban dance styles at the Escuela Nacional de Artes in Havana. In her subject “Yoruba meets House” she combines elements from Afro-Cuban dance and house, thus reconstructing the origins of clubbing house dance as a culture.
